Criminal Appeals Process

If you've been convicted of a crime in a trial you do not have to accept a guilty ruling. You are entitled to appeal the conviction and ask for a new trial. An appeal is not a retrial, the transcripts from the original trial are reviewed to ensure the proceedings were conducted in a fair manner.

During appellate reveiw of a conviction, judges look through trial transcripts and review any exhibits used in the trial to determine if errors may have occured that affected the outcome of the trial.

Hire and experienced attorney to walk you through the appeal process.

If you, or a loved one, have been found guilty of a crime you did not commit, or if you feel your trial was flawed resulting in a guilty verdict contact attorney Bill Thompson today.
